Malcolm Crowthers

Malcolm Crowthers is a British photographer, music critic and pianist.

Biography

Malcolm Crowthers (born August 24, 1947 in Newcastle upon Tyne) is a photographer of classical musicians and composers. His portraits of composers including Harrison Birtwistle, Pierre Boulez, Elliott Carter, Olivier Messiaen and John Tavener have obtained iconic status and have been used for covers of books on these composers and album covers of their music.
