Mala Štanga is a small dispersed settlement in the Šmartno pri Litiji municipality in central Slovenia. It lies in the Posavje Hills to the west of Litija. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]

An Early Iron Age hillfort has been identified on a hill to the east of the settlement, though the usual associated burial ground has yet to be found.[3]
