BMI will be involved with the series. Adam Lambert,[4][5] Avril Lavigne,[5] Brandy Norwood,[5] Leona Lewis,[5] Colbie Caillat,[5], Claude Kelly[5], Sean Kingston[6], Ryan Tedder[6], Jennifer Hudson[7] and Will.i.am[7] have been announced to be the "mentors" of the 12 young contestants.The 12 contestants are Grace Jeanette, Ashley Nicole Greene, Sabrina Lentini, Emily Kocontes, Kennedy Nöel, Nia Holloway, Hailey Dibiasi, Michael Woodard, Austin Crute, Brandon Michael, Cameron DeFaria, and Josh Metzler.
