GunrunnerEl Shaitan (Arabic name) is a fictional character in The Three Musketeers 1933 film serial. An Arab terrorist, he plots against the French Foreign Legion in North Africa. He was portrayed by Robert Frazer.

Character
Nicknamed the "Devil of the Desert",[1][2] the character leads a desert cult and a secret society against French authorities, with a meeting point called Devil's Circle.[3][4] He remains a shadowy figure, hiding his face and his true identity, as a result of which many people are mistakenly suspected of being El Shaitan. Other characters impersonate him for their own ends.
Production
Portrayed by Robert Frazer,[5] El Shaitan is voiced by Wilfred Lucas (uncredited),[citation needed] with stunts by Yakima Canutt.[6]
