Mahboubeh Honarian (Persian: محبوبه هنریان) (born 1962) is an Iranian documentary filmmaker , director and producer. She studied her BA in Media and Cultural studies and in the year 1999, completed her MSc in Engineering Multimedia in the United Kingdom.

Mahboubeh has been working as Producer and Director, on different documentaries related to social issues such as Homelessness, Drugs, abuse, etc. The main concerns of her films are emphasized on women and children. She has produced and directed a broad range of documentary films and different series of TV programmes on different subjects of Social/Cultural issues in Iran.

Mahboubeh has been a jury member of different Film festivals. In 2010, she was one of the jurors of The "38th International Emmy Awards" in New York. She has been a Guest Filmmaker at the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers (WCSFP), Germany, in 2010. A Guest filmmaker at the Hot Docs Film Festival, Discussion Panel ‘Spotlight on Iran’, Canada, 2008 and at the GZ DOC Film Festival on International Producer’s Day, China, 2008.

She has been a member of Program Supervisory Board for the Conference of Visual Representations of Iran, University of St-Andrews, Scotland in 2008 and a member of Scientific Board for the First Symposium on Visual Anthropology of Iran, Anthropology Society of Iran, Tehran University in 2007.

Mahboubeh has been the President of the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association for 4 years (2004–08) and as an Information/Documentation Officer for the United Nations Development Programme after the Disastrous Earthquake in Bam, UNDP Iran (2004).
