The Jerusalem District Police (In Hebrew: משטרת מחוז ירושלים) is a regional district of the Israeli Police who is considered to be one of the oldest police departments in Israel, if not the most oldest.
Jerusalem police was operated under the British mandate and before that under the Ottomans. The District boundaries are the municipal boundaries of Jerusalem: Beit Shemesh, Mevasseret Zion, Abu Gosh, Kiryat Yearim, Givat Ze'ev and other regional councils.
There is 734,000 people who living here; Approximately 68% of them Jewish, 28% Muslim and 2% Christian.
