Gorenje Laknice is a settlement to the south of Mokronog in the Mokronog-Trebelno municipality in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.^[2]

The local church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Judoc (Slovene: Sveti Jošt) and belongs to the Mokronog parish. It is an originallz medieval building that was restyled in the Baroque in the mid 18th century.^[3]
