Dutch Caribbean Age Group Championships is a championship for young track and field athletes of the islands of the Dutch Kingdom. (Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius. It was first held in 1996 on the island of Aruba. Aruba regularly hosts this competition for young track and field athletes every two years in April. They compete in different events and the athlete with the overall most points will be declared the winner. There are two age groups. As of 2010 the official ages have been changed from 10-11 and 12-13 to 11-12 (Pentathlon) and 13-14 (Heptathlon). In every age group each team consists of two boys and two girls.
Events
The Pentathlon consists of a total of 5 different events. These events are 60 metres, Long Jump, High Jump, Baseball throw and 800 metres (for the girls) and 1000 metres (for the boys).
The Heptathlon consists of a total of 7 different events. These events are 80 metres, Long Jump, High Jump, Baseball throw (added in 2010), shot put, 60 metres hurdles (as of 2010 for the girls), 80 metres hurdles (As of 2010 for the boys) and 1000 metres (for the girls) and 1200 metres (for the boys).
There is also be a 4x100 Relay which will consist out of teams of two boys and two girls.
