The Lokmanya-Ernakulam Duronto Express is a bi-weekly superfast full AC train which runs between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Ernakulam, connecting Mumbai and Kerala. The train runs through four zones of Indian Railways—Western Railway, Central Railway, Konkan Railway and Southern Railway traveling 1599 km in 20 hours 55 mins. There are no intermediate stops. It starts from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Saturday & Tuesday night and reaches Ernakulam on Sunday & Wednesday evening respectively and starts back to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Sunday & Wednesday night to reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on Monday & Thursday evening respectively.

Duronto Trains are in the Rajdhani Express category. This train has no commercial stops in between the starting station & the ending station. Only technical halts are applied for this train for staff change, cleaning & water filling etc.
History
The service of this train started in 2011 January from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Ernakulam. The speed & running time of this train is almost equal to NZM-TVC Rajdahani Express, and the fare is also similar.
Origin of name
The word "Duronto" essentially means "Non-Stop". The basic concept is "Non-stop" in between starting & ending stations.
