The Trust was established and the proceeds and donations taken by the various activities (Saor Patrol[3], Combat International, Scottish Federation of Medieval Martial Arts (SFMMA)) flow into this project. There were archaeologist historian and architects called in a possible authentic present appearance of the village. At the same time was looking for a suitable location and it was found in the Carron Valley.
