Dumped is the 29th episode of SpongeBob SquarePants and the 9th episode of Season two. It aired on March 5, 2001 with Survival of the Idiots on a Monday. ^{[1] [2]}

Plot

Spongebob is playing tag with Gary one day. Patrick comes over and wants to play to, However, gary seems to like Patrick. At night, Patrick suggests Gary to have a sleepover with him, and SpongeBob allows. The next day, Gary starts following Patrick anywhere he goes, making Patrick think he wants to be his pet. SpongeBob tries several things to make Gary come back to him, however, Gary is still getting attracted to Patrick, making SpongeBob think Gary doesn't like him anymore. The next day, SpongeBob buys a new pet worm named Rex. To make Gary selfish, SpongeBob says Rex can do Tricks, however, Rex cannot do any tricks at all. Then, he admits he bought Rex to show them that Rex would always be a pet that would never leave him, however, Rex ends up leaving SpongeBob. Later, SpongeBob buys a new snail named lary which refuses to do most stuff SpongeBob gives him. Lary ends up leaving SpongeBob. Patrick & Gary visit SpongeBob's house to do some laundry, and once again makes SpongeBob beg for Gary to come back. Patrick says that Gary is with him now and won't turn back to gary. Patrick puts his pants in a hamper and tells patrick gary no longer wants to be with him. However, Gary gets in the hamper and takes out a cookie from Patrick's pocket. SpongeBob decides to take Gary out for a walk, and they do that.
