Edward Jones (statistician)
- Edward Jones (statistician)
Edward Davis Jones (1856–1920) was a U.S. statistician.
A graduate of Worcester Academy in Worcester, MA, he was the co-eponym of the Dow-Jones index with Charles Dow and Charles Bergstresser. Ironically, he had nothing to do with the devising of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which bears his name: that was entirely the product of Charles Dow.
