Rafiq Anjum

A Paediatrician by profession, Dr Rafique Anjum alternate spelling Dr Anjum Awan is a promising Gojri poet, scholar and researcher of Jammu & Kashmir.He received State level award for Excellence in Literature in 2007 and is a member of General Council of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.He has served as Registrar and Consultant Paediatrician in GMC Strinagar and is presently serving JK Health services as Graded Child Specialist at Rajouri.

Literary Life

Dr Rafiq Anjum Awan is a poet and scholar of considerable repute of both Urdu and Gojri Languages besides being a euridile writer of English Language too. A number of his poetic collections both in Urdu and Gojri Languages have earned him Accolades across the Sub-continent.^[1] He represents the higher echelon of the modern Gojri scholarship.^[2]He is a multifaceted litterateur both at creative and analytical levels.He is well versed in modern methodology of Research and Philosophy.He is a Pediatrician by profession and equal to his task.
