Early years

Dutch was born on February 15, 1986 in Bowie, Maryland. He attended Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. where he was a highly touted wide receiver and cornerback.

College career

Dutch attended The University of Michigan from 2004-2008. He started out his collegiate football career as a wide receiver wearing the number 81. He redshirted his freshman year. During his sophomore year he saw limited time as a reserve wide receiver and punt returner, catching 4 passes for 34 yards and returning 2 punts for 9 yards. Before his senior season he converted to cornerback and switched to number 35. He saw limited time on special teams and recorded one tackle. Dutch was again a reserve defensive back and special teamer during his final year of eligibility in 2008.

Professional career

First stint with Washington Redskins

After going undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft, Dutch was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Washington Redskins on April 27, 2009. Dutch received very little playing time throughout the Redskins first three preseason games and did not record any statistics. During the preseason finale however, Dutch got more playing time and made the most of it by recording three tackles and playing well in coverage. After trying to make the Redskins 53-man roster or practice squad, Dutch was let go during the final cuts on September 5, 2009. Dutch then tried to make the Las Vegas Locomotives roster but was cut before the season started. On November 16, 2009 Dutch was signed to the Washington Redskins practice squad. On January 5, 2010 Dutch signed a reserve/futures contract with the Redskins.

Baltimore Ravens

On August 2, 2010 Dutch was traded to the Baltimore Ravens for quarterback John Beck. On August 30, Dutch was released by the Ravens.[1]

Second stint with Washington Redskins

On December 30, 2010, Dutch was signed by the Redskins to the practice squad. On January 11, 2011, his practice squad contract expired.
