History
Originally established in 2004, Doshisha Business School began solely with an Master of Business Administration programme in Japanese (now abbreviated to JMBA), but since autumn 2009, there is also a Global MBA program (GMBA) in which all classes are provided in English.[1]
MBA programs
- Japanese MBA (JMBA)
The Japanese MBA program is a part-time program was designed for working professionals who wishes to enhance their knowledge and ability while continuing their professional careers. The courses are offered in the evenings and weekends. In order to graduate and receive a MBA degree, students are required to earn 46 credits and a passing grade on the solution report.
- Global MBA (GMBA)
The Global MBA is a full-time MBA programme. All classes are held in English, although there are classes in Business Communication in Japanese, Chinese and English for students who wish to develop their language skills for business purposes.
Campus
Doshisha Business School is located within the Kambaikan building of Doshisha University’s Imadegawa Campus. The building was completed in March 2004 and also houses the Doshisha Law School and two restaurants: Hamac de Paradis and Second House will.
DBS also has a satellite campus located in Osaka.
