In 2009 Software as a Service (SaaS) became available through their network of authorized DocuWare partners.
DocuWare is an integrated document management solution that is only sold through a worldwide network of certified resellers. Founded in 1988, DocuWare has about 10,000 installations and over one hundred thousand users in 72 countries. The product suite is available in 16 languages, is DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certified, FDA compliant, and supports all forms of electronic signatures. DocuWare is a Microsoft Gold Independent Software Partner, and have recently won a Business Solutions Best Channel Vendor award for 2011 in the category of ECM Software. Founded
- DOCUNET AG, Germering Germany, founded by Jürgen Biffar and Matthias Fesl (left company in 1998) becomes DocuWare AG in August 2000. Current leadership is Jürgen Biffar (President/Product & Finance) and Thomas Schneck (since 1990) (President/Marketing & Sales). The product is sold through a worldwide network of authorized DocuWare partners.
- DocuWare Corporation: New York (attends to North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean Islands) subsidiary established January 2001
- DocuWare Ltd: United Kingdom (attends to Great Britain and Ireland) subsidiary established April 2005
- DocuWare SARL: France subsidiary (attends to France and francophone Africa) established September 2008
- DocuWare S.L.: Spain subsidiary (attends to the market in Spain) established July 2009
