Doctor Who: Worlds in Time is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game created for the Adobe Flash platform^[2] developed by Three Rings Design. It is based on the science fiction series Doctor Who and is due to be released late 2011. It will be free to play.^[3]

Gameplay

Players will be able to control the TARDIS as they complete challenges set by the Doctor to save the universe from various enemies. They will have to solve puzzles to complete some of the tasks.^[3][4]

Development

The game was first announced by the BBC Press Office prior to the San Francisco Game Developers Conference on 24 February, 2011.^[5]

In November 17, 2011, it was announced through a press release that publisher Sega would be collaborating with BBC Worldwide in the production of the game after having acquired Three Rings Design.^[1]
