It is organized by Football Federation of Extremadura.
League system
The Regional Preferente consists of two groups of twenty clubs each. The champion in each group is promoted directly to the Tercera División. The runners-up playoff for the third promotion. The bottom three in each group are relegated to the Primera Regional de Extremadura.

It is organized by Football Federation of Extremadura.
League system
The Primera Regional is played with three groups of 16 and one of 17 clubs. At the end of the season, the champion of each group are promoted to the Regional Preferente de Extremadura. The two winners of the runners-up playoff are also promoted. The Primera Regional de Extremadura is the lowest league in the Spanish league pyramid in Extremadura, so no clubs are relegated.
