Medal record Men’s swimming Competitor for the United States Olympic Games Silver 1956 Melbourne 4x200 m freestyle Richard Dennis "Dick" Hanley (born February 19, 1936 in Evanston, Illinois) was an American swimmer. Hanley won a silver medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Hanley attended the University of Michigan where he was a varsity swimmer.
