Dheena Chandra Dhas (born August 1, 1956) is an actor, singer and sound engineer born in Madras (now Chennai), India.

Music

His musical career is varied, with over three decades of experience in radio, studio sound mixing, live concert mixing, and performing on stage for Indian rock bands such as Magic. He sang "Zahreela Zahreela Pyar" for the film Daud, composed by A R Rahman, alongside Asha Bhonsle. He was also a childhood friend of Rahman, and was a member of the band Nemesis Avenue, along with Rahman, Sivamani, Jojo etc.

He has also performed for a number of musicals in Madras and elsewhere in India, singing and acting on stage in productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar as Judas,^[1] Cats (the musical), Tommy,^[2] " Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat ", " Starlight Express " and "The Witness ".

Acting

His film acting career began when he was offered the role of "Raju"^[3] in both the Hindi and Tamil versions Kamal Haasan's Mumbai Express and as the Lungiman^[4] in Peter Yesley's short film, Lungiman Takes a Ride. He has also acted in some Tamil soap operas.
