The Desert 400 was a V8 Supercar motor racing event, one of three V8 Supercar events held outside of Australasia. The races were held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Manama, Bahrain. Having run on the circuit's Paddock variation on the series' first three visits, the final Desert 400 in 2010 ran on the Grand Prix layout.[1] Originally run as a late season event in November, it was moved to February in 2010 to link up with the Yas V8 400 held at nearby in the United Arab Emirates and always struggled to draw a crowd of any size. Late in 2010 V8 Supercar announced the event was to be discontinued due to the congested nature of the circuit's early season schedule.
