The Elite Guard are a fictonal group of Transformers (usually Autobots) who appear in Transformers fiction. They first appeared in the Transformers Animated television series.

Elite Guard

In this series, "Prime" is used to refer to an officer's rank within the Elite Guard that has no special attachment to the Matrix or Allspark, and does not imply leadership over the Autobots. Instead, the term "Magnus" is used for the highest rank within the Elite Guard, possibly equal to that of "Supreme Commander". The Elite Guard's base is called "Fortress Maximus", a tower (resembling the central tower of the G1 version's city mode) that can transform into a cannon.
Blurr
Main article: Blurr#Transformers AnimatedBlurr (John Moschitta, Jr.) is a member of Cybertron Intelligence who first appears as mysterious blue race car that can best Bumblebee in speed even with his turbo boosters. It is suspected to be a Decepticon by Bumblebee, but is found to be actually controlled by Master Disaster with an All-Spark fragment remote control to fix his races. At the time, it was not known whether there was a driver driving the car, but when the Blue Racer was free from Master Disaster’s control, it helped stop Blitzwing’s pursuit of Bumblebee and Sari. In "A Bridge Too Close" Pt. 1, Blurr takes on his robot mode for the first time when it came to rescuing Bulkhead. Upon this discovery by Bumblebee and the other Autobots on Earth, Blurr reveals himself to be a member of the Cybertron Elite Guard's who was sent to keep an eye on them and monitor Megatron's activities. He was eventually sucked into the Decepticon spacebridge with Skywarp and Thundercracker (two of Starscream's clones). He immediately races to Cybertron to inform Longarm of the Decepticon spy on Cybertron, but came crushed into a cube by Shockwave and has an oblivious Cliffjumper threwed him away into the garbage cockpit when it turns out Longarm was that spy.
Jazz
Main article: Jazz (Transformers)#Transformers AnimatedJazz (Phil LaMarr) is an Autobot with a sports car vehicle mode. He is the second-in-command of the Cybertron Elite Guard and a skilled ninja-bot, trained by Yoketron and honored by a bust in his dojo. Jazz is fascinated with Earth's culture and is the most easy-going member of the Elite Guard. In the third season, he returns to Earth with Sentinel and the Jet twins to hunt down Wasp, and they end up staying to hunt down Decepticons. Jazz later leaves Sentinel to join up with Optimus' group.
Safeguard

Main article: Sentinel Prime#Transformers AnimatedSentinel Prime (Townsend Coleman) is a hot-headed and swaggering Autobot Officer and member of the Cybertron Elite Guard, who shares a mutual enmity with Optimus Prime, stemming from a botched joint expedition in the past. He despises robots who are of a lower rank than him. He wields an Energon shield and lance. His Cybertronian alt-mode is a Cybertronian Truck. On Earth, he takes the disguise of a SnowplowTruck. Along with having a problem with Optimus, he also has a fear of organics.[1] It was later revealed in "Autoboot Camp" that he was a drill instructor and went by Sentinel Minor during Bumblebee's flashback. When Sentinel, Jazz, Jetfire, and Jetstorm return to Earth to hunt down Wasp, they end up staying to hunt down the Earth-based Decepticons. In "Five Servos of Doom", it is revealed that Sentinel was secretly dealing with Lockdown to capture them. After Blackarachnia and Waspinator disappear, Sentinel Prime returns to Cybertron with the captured Decepticons to become the new Magnus, and though the Decepticons break free, Optimus and the Elite Guard are able to subdue all but Lugnut and Swindle, who escape.
Ultra Magnus
Main article: Ultra Magnus#Transformers AnimatedUltra Magnus (Jeff Bennett) is the Supreme Commander of the Autobots and member of the Cybertron Elite Guard. He and the Cybertron Elite Guard came to Earth to look for the Allspark. After a fragment of the Allspark was found, Ultra Magnus started to believe Optimus Prime's story. Later, when Shockwave's identity was about to be exposed, he brutally attacked Ultra Magnus and took the Magnus Hammer. On Earth, he transforms into a Cybertronian truck, later a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck and wields a hammer capable of calling down lightning. He is also one of the melee-bots honored by a bust in Yoketron's dojo.
Warpath
Warpath Autobot Sub-group Elite Guard Function Security Rank 7 Motto "A good shot is worth more than a good intention!" Alternate Modes Cybertronian tank Series Transformers Animated English voice actor David Kaye Warpath is a homage to the Generation 1 character. He is a member of the Autobot Elite Guard. Warpath has a cannon on his chest, a homage to his original Generation 1 character. He has a very grumpy personality. He is shown to be a larger Autobot, much like Bulkhead. Like his G1 counterpart, he utters words like "Bam" and "Pow", but they do not dominate his speech patterns.
Animated series
Warpath first appears in a flashback in the episode "The Five Servos of Doom." Warpath was responsible for bringing Prowl to Master Yoketron's dojo. He informed Master Yoketron that Prowl wasn't exactly willing to learn at first and that he should take him to the stockade.[2]
Warpath appears in a flashback to the end of the Great War in the episode "TransWarped", where he was depicted as being wounded.
He appears in the present day in "Decepticon Air", among a crowd of Autobots celebrating Sentinel Prime's capture of several Decepticons.[3]
Warpath is also among the cheering crowd when Optimus Prime returns to Cybertron with Decepticon captives in "Endgame Part II."
Toys
- Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm set (2008)
- A gift set that includes Deluxe Jetfire and Jetstorm. Both figures transform into Cybertronian jets and can combine to form either a super jet mode or the gestalt Safeguard.
- Animated Set G Safeguard (TA-21 Jetfire and TA-22 Jetstorm) (Takara Tomy) (2010)
- The 2010 Japan release version by Takara Tomy. On this version, Jetfire sports a metallic silver finish, while Jetstorm has blue chrome parts.[4]
Wings of Honor

This story told the origin of the Autobot Elite Guard in the early days of the Generation 1 story.

Delta Seeker Autobot Sub-group Cyberjets, Elite Guard Function Pursuit Rank 7 Motto "Open your eyes, X-Gunner! Real strength is something inside a heart of justice!" Alternate Modes F-117 Nighthawk Series Transformers: Robot Masters Delta Seeker is the name of a fictional character from the various Transformers universes.
A member of the Cyberjet Battalion, Delta Seeker was friends with X-Gunner before the latter defected to the Decepticons. Has a number of abilities, including teleportation, and his weapon is called the Arm Gauntlet.
Delta Seeker was a minor background character appearing in Fun Publications fiction Gone Too Far, a text-based story set on Transtech Cybertron.[5]
When most of the members of the Autobot Elite Guard confronted Bruticus they were nearly wiped out, with Bruticus killing most of the Guard. Dion was able to blind Bruticus, forcing it to separate into the Combaticons, but the Combaticons finished off most of the remaining Guard, including Metalhawk, who was killed by Onslaught. This left only Dion alive, buried in the rubble, and Thunderclash's team, which was off planet at the time.[6]
Dion

Ironfist Autobot Sub-group Elite Guard, Lightformers Function Weaponry Expert Rank 10 Motto "A brilliantly designed piece of firepower is a work of art to me." Alternate Modes High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (aka "Boom Buggy") Series Transformers: Generation 2 Ironfist is a high ranking Autobot who likes big guns. His biography portrays him as strong and silent.
In IDW comics Ironfist is depicted as a gushing fanboy of the Wreckers.
In Fun Publications he is depicted as being an member of the Autobot Elite Guard under the command of Metalhawk. He calls his teammate Over-Run and Dion by the nicknames Runny and Sailor.
Ironfist had a full page biography in issue #36 of the Transformers Collectors Club magazine.[7]
Kup

Alternate Modes Semi-truck with plow and crane trailer Series Transformers: Timelines Landshark is able to transform his auxiliary battle platform into a hydraulic booster pack which wields two power claws. This feature also gives him the ability to cling onto or climb almost any structure. According to his official biography he once fought a deadly Narliphant.
Metalhawk

Ranger Autobot Sub-group Godmaster Function Ground Defense Rank 5 Alternate Modes Car Series Transformers: Generation 1 Ranger shares a mold with the Hasbro Autobot Joyride and his Powermaster partner Hotwire, however he is a completely different character than the one portrayed by Hasbro.
Ranger is a Canadian park ranger who discovered a strange rock in the same mountain Lightfoot's father found the ore he made a prototype car out of. He was contacted by Godmaster Ginrai, Pretenders Metalhawk and Lander and the Autobot Headmaster Juniors who suspected the rock was a Transector. He was given a set of Master Bracers by Ginrai and became a Godmaster when they were attacked by the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors and Godmasters.[8][9]
In the Transformers: Zone animation the Autobot Godmasters were seen among other high-ranking Autobots (such as Road Caesar, Grand Maximus, Metalhawk, Landcross, and Lander) when Dai Atlas is sworn-in by Victory Saber as the new Supreme Commander of the Autobot forces.

WASP Autobot Sub-group Deluxe Vehicles, Elite Guard Alternate Modes Futuristic Car similar to a Chevrolet Beat Series Transformers: Timelines In the mirror universe of Shattered Glass WASP (Wireless Automated Sales Person) is a sentient hologram of an Autobot (and seeingly a member of the Elite Guard) who does commercials.
Wasp makes an appearance in a commercial in the Around Cybertron comic strip #6. He appears as Rook does a story about the death of Megatron.[10]
Although no toy for this version WASP was made, his appearance is identical to the Animated Elite Guard Bumblebee toy.
IDW Publishing
Ironfist appears in the Last Stand of the Wreckers comic by IDW Publishing where he is depicted as a fan of the Wreckers.[11][12]
Fun Publications
Landshark was a member of the crew of the Autobot ship Eight Track under the command of Thunderclash.[13][14]
In The Coming Storm Kup is ordered by Landshark to move some boxes with the Autobot Elite Guard logo on them.
The Elite Guard Alpha Team and Strike Team did battle against a horde of ferrovorous bugs in one of Cybertron's city-states. Magnum then ordered the Strike Team to escort the Alpha Team to Space Port Bravo for their next mission. The Strike Team then reported to Magnum and Sentinel Major, who introduced them to the new Elite Guard Special-Ops Team, also called the Combaticons.[15][16]
While on patrol Onslaught told Metalhawk the story of how his Elite Guard team captured Thunderwing. Metalhawk then told Onslaught about how his team captured Blue Bacchus. The teams of Elite Guardsmen then came across a Decepticon who was separated from his group. Brawl was able to get the location of a Decepticon base from the captive before he went offline. The Guard teams fround the base and were able to kill Shadowcaster, the base's leader. Metalhawk's team reported to Magnum, but the Combaticons stayed to investigate, Onslaught thinking their victory was too easy. They were captured by Decepticons.[17]
Metalhawk and his Strike Team were searching for Decepticons when they ran into a crazy "empty" who ranted about the coming of the "brute". They received a distress signal from Sentinel Major ordering all Elite Guard units to return base. When Metalhawk's team arrived at the base Ricochet told them of a Decepticon attack. Among the attackers are the Combaticions, but when Sentinel Major orders them to surrender, they combine into Bruticus and crush Sentinel Major.[18]

Thunderclash's Elite Guard squad reported to Magnum after the Combaticons killed most of the Guard. They attempted to show the Council that the Elite Guard was still functional, but arrived just as Optimus Prime was appointed the new commander of the Autobots.[19]

- This toy was a redeco of the Autobot Joyride.[21]
- Robot Masters Basic Delta Seeker (2004)
- His toy is a recolor of the mold originally used for the Generation 2 Cyberjet Skyjack.[22]
- Although never sold officially sold in the United States, a Chinese-made knockoff of Delta Seeker and X-Gunner was sold at discount stores in the US in 2007. This toy was recolored white where the original was greenish grey.
