The parking area will be located at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area visitor's center, located southwest of Interstate 80.[2]
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recently completed improvements to the visitor’s center. This station parking will modify the new layout to incorporate a park-and-ride facility.[2] The planned park-and-ride facility will be a five-level parking garage containing approximately 900 parking spaces located within the existing parking area.[2] The amount of parking for the visitor center will remain unchanged. Pedestrian access between the station platform and the parking site will be along PA Route 2028. This project will include improvements along PA Route 2028 to improve pedestrian access. Vehicular access from Interstate 80 will be direct via PA Route 2028. Passenger rail service into New Jersey and New York City would be provided by NJ Transit via the Lackawanna Cut-Off.[2]
