The Decentralized Administration of Macedonia and Thrace (Greek: Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση Μακεδονίας-Θράκης, Αpokentroméni Diíkisi Makedonías-Thrákis) is one of the seven decentralized administrations of Greece,[3] consisting of the peripheries of Central Macedonia and East Macedonia and Thrace.[3] With a population of almost 2.5 million, it is the second most populous in Greece after the decentralized administration of Attica. Its capital is Thessaloniki.[3]

The Administration was created in 2011 as part of the government's large administrative reforms, the Kallikratis Reform. According to the Kallikratis Reform, the Decentralized Administrations are responsible for "perform[ing] general decisive authority in state affairs of their peripheries, according to Article 101 of the Constitution".[4] The current Secretary-General of the Administration is Thymios N. Sokos.[5]
