Deborah Buck is an American artist, designer and Owner and President of Buck House, a gallery on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Buck is widely regarded as an antique dealer and taste-maker in the design world.[1][2][3][4]

Biography
Born in Mount Holly New Jersey, Deborah Buck graduated, with honors, with a BA in Fine Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She also attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine. Deborah Buck moved to New York as an abstract expressionist and surrealist painter. Eventually she was able to pursue her passion of painting full-time, exhibiting her work in galleries and museums in Baltimore, Boston and New York. Ms Buck continues to practice as a professional artist today and considers her activity, whether it be design, cooking or the antiques retail trade to be her work as an artist.
Work Experience
Deborah Buck's professional experience includes: designing and illustrating animated displays for theme properties such as, Walt Disney Productions, Hanna-Barbera, United Features Syndicates, Bobs-Merrill; Instructor of French cuisine at the Institute of Culinary Education, New York;[5] MFA Design Program Faculty at The School of Visual Arts, New York since 2006; Member of Board of Trustees The Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY since 2007.

Buck House NYC
Buck House is a gallery and event space in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The gallery opened in November 2001 and is owned and operated by artist, designer, and author Deborah Buck.[7] Buck House displays and sells a variety of fine art and design objects, said to be among the “finest examples of design from the 19th century to the present.”[8]
In 2006, Buck House launched a second, much larger space nearby called The Gallery at Buck House. This exhibition space hosted fine art exhibitions, book release parties, and events in benefit of charitable organizations.[9] In September 2010, however, Buck House closed its two locations in favor of one, much larger space on Madison Avenue which combines the store and exhibition space. “The idea” said Deborah Buck in a 2010 interview, “was to create a meeting place and a salon like those in 1920s Paris.” [10]
