Deborah Adele

Deborah Adele, E-RYT 500, (born October 27, 1949) is an author and lecturer on yogic philosophy and yoga lifestyle. She writes and speaks on topics such as the Yamas and Niyamas, the Mind and Meditation, and Right-Living. Adele is initiated into the Himalayan Tradition of Hatha yoga. Her book, The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice, was published in 2009 and is among the first books written in the West focused singularly on the topic of the first two limbs of the eight Limbs (Ashtanga) of Yoga from Pantanjali's Yoga Sutras.

Biography

Career

An E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor and co-owner of Yoga North Studio[1] in Duluth, Minnesota since March 1999, teaches 200-500 level teacher training programs, and leads workshops around the USA on yogic philosophy. From 2003-2007, Deborah Adele worked as a business consultant bringing her Gestalt skills into organizational development.

Teachers and Education

Studies with Narvada Puri and Swami Avdheshanand Giri in India. Holds yoga certifications in Hatha, Kundalini, and Meditation, having studied with various teachers including Yogi Bhajan, Yogiraj Achala, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, and Phil Nuernberger, PhD.
