David P. O'Brien

David P. O'Brien: David P. O'Brien, OC is a Canadian businessman, currently as Chairman of the Board of EnCana and the Royal Bank of Canada. Additionally, he serves as a director of Molson Coors Brewing Company, TransCanada Corporation, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Inco Limited and the C. D. Howe Institute.^[1]

He also serves as the chancellor of Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

In January 2009, O'Brien was named an officer of the Order of Canada "for his contributions as a respected corporate leader, and his support for post-secondary education across Canada".^[2]

He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta.
