Background
The Taste of Night was published as the sequel of the novel Dangerous Girls, first published in 2003. The Taste of Night was first published in August 2004 by HarperCollins Publishers in hardcover,[1] and released in paperback on July 26, 2005. On August 31, 2010, it was published together with its prequel in the book Bitten.[2]
Plot
Livvy tries to convince her twin sister Destiny that being a vampire is better than being a human.
Reception
Sarah Sawtelle from Teenreads.com stated the novel was more suspenseful and intriguing than its prequel and there were "were a few unexpected twists that kept you guessing right until the very end."[3] Cindy Welch from Booklist stated that short dialogue and quick moving action carry the entry in Stine's Dangerous Girls series.[1]
Sherrie Williams from VOYA stated it contains little exposition and is predictable, but "it will doubtless find an enthusiastic audience."[4]
