Dangorayo--(Dangoronyo, Dangoroyo) is a rapidly growing fourth and youngst district Nugaal region of Puntland state of Somalia[1]. It borders Qardho district, the capital city of Karkaar region in the northwest, Bayla districts of also Karkaar region in the northeast, Eyl and Garoowe districts, ( Garowe being the capital city of both Nugaal region and the Somali State of Puntland) in the southeast and southwest respectively, Sool region in the west and the Indian Ocean in the east, all territories of Puntland State of The Federal Republic of Somalia.
The district began in the 1960s as a small village of three to four wooden houses and is believed to have been Founded by the first settlers (Barni Haaji Hussein, Farah Ali Ade, Haji Ahmed Farajar and Said Aw-nur) who have migrated from Qardho. Dangoroyo was founded as village under Qardho district administration and remained so until a presidential decrete by president Siyad Barre through the ministry of interior affairs and security declared it the fourth district of Nugal region in 1989.
The districts population is about 40.000. like most other districts in Puntland, enjoys a multi-clan population and are of amongst them Dhulbahante, Omar Mahamud, Osman Mohamud, and Pro-dominantly Isse Mohamud mainly Hassan Idiris sub-clan of Ugar Abokor Isse, Ahmed-Khayr of Ugaar Abokor, Hassan Ugaar Abokor, and Younis Idiris of Idiris Ugar Abokor. The town has number of villages which are Elbuh, Baq baq, uus gure, Haji khayr, Falax Falax, Qundheed, suuj,garmaal, maraya,baarweyn, Budunbuto, and others.

The chairmen of the district
Ali Haji was the first chairman of the district, as he was nominated by Bare's regime for this title. Ali remained in this position until his replacement by Abdiqadir Karshe Adur[Khuruf]. During Khuruf's administration the town well grew, however his administration was effective as there was well-management in the resources of the district. after he finished his addministration period, he announced election; this caused an election to be held in which he was defeated by Mursal Moh'ud[kelidu'ayste). However in September 2007 he was replaced by Puntland Authorities with Abdirihman Eissa Nour(Hayrdac), the current chairman.
Economy
The town has resources, its economy is mainly based on livestocks. The cities elected council decides the cities overall governance.
Infrustructure
Dangoroyo district is located on the tarmuc road connecting the main Puntland business cities of Galkayo and Bosaaso through Garowe as well as in the cross-roads of Eyl district in the remote coast of the indian Ocean, Garowe district both of Nugal region and Qardho of Karkaar region. Therefore, Dangoroyo provides the easiest route and access to Eyl district as well as the livestock rich high plains of Ayax Geed-Gaaban and lobster-shrimps rich, tourist potential beaches and seafronts of the indian ocean.
District of Dangroyo enjoys Telecomminication infrustructure and an around-the-clock broadband internet access provided by a number of telecom and internet service providers in Puntland. Currently some districts such as dangorayo provides schools since the fall of the last somali government school is too inconvenient for many.
