Dance Tonight is the debut single from R&B group Lucy Pearl and the first single taken from their debut self-titled album. The single reached number 36 on the Hot 100 and the UK singles chart.[1] This single is a soundtrack from Love & Basketball.

It was nominated to Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in the 43rd Grammy Awards (2001), but lost to Destiny Child's "Say My Name".[2]

Music video

The music video for the song shows Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Dawn Robinson and Rafael Saadiq preparing to go a dance party beng held at night. Interspersed with scenes from the movie are scenes from the video, which include Dawn repeatedly being shown topless puttng makeup on in front of a mirror. A later scene shows her getting up in slow motion [1].
