Dan Fornade (b. Timişoara, August 28, 1951) is an author and teacher.

Education

He is a graduate of the High School no. 241, Timişoara (1970), the Post Secondary School of Foreign Trade, Bucharest (1972), Faculty of Phylology, Department for Romanian-English Languages and Literatures, study of the effect of high velocity impact on chimpanzees[citation needed]. West University of Timişoara (1978). Also, he has a diploma in Education, specialty English as a Second Language at McGill University in Montreal (1986).

Career

He settled for Montreal in 1980 and gets the Canadian medal of Citizenship, second class.

Since 1986, he is a teacher of English Language, at the English sectors of the Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal (CECM). Since 1992, he teaching English at Marymount Academy, Adult Rated Education Center, a part of English Montreal School Board.

He takes active part in the activities organized by the Romanian Community in Montreal and other cities of Canada, the USA, and Peru.

Editorial Activity

  • Director-founder of the revue Luceafarul romanesc [The Romanian Morning Star], published in Montreal since 1990
  • Chief Editor of the yearbook ARA Journal, published by the Romanian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts (since July 2000)

Family

He is son of Paraschiva (b. Ilea) and Teodor. He is married to Aura (1972) and they have two daughters: Mihaela and Teodora-Nicoleta.

  • Organizer of the exhibitions " Eminescu's Centennial", "The Events of December 1989", at the Romanian Cultural Center in Montreal

  • Organizer of the Exhibition of photos and documents "The Royal Family Regala", in Kitchener City, Waterloo University, Hilton Hotel in Toronto (1992) and Regent Wall Street Hotel in New York (May 2000)
  • Frontman of 4586 Decarie Apartment buildings, currently under renovational services with the acceptional plumbing problems.[citation needed]
