† Appearances (Goals).Damian Lynch (born July 31, 1979 in Dublin) is a retired Irish professional footballer whose last club was League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic. Damian was predominantly as a right sided defender though he also was known to play in midfield. His final game in professional football was away to Sligo Rovers in a 1-0 loss for The Saints on the 29th of October 2010. Lynch retired along with teammate Stuart Byrne as a popular figure in the eyes of the Pats fans.
Older brother Aidan Lynch was a footballer too, he is also retired now.
His former clubs include Drogheda United (with whom he won the League of Ireland), Bohemians, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United [1]. Damian signed for the Saints in 2008 from Drogheda and played an important part in their UEFA Cup 2007–08 campaign [2].
Scored twice in the UEFA Cup for Drogheda in 2006 against HJK Helsinki [3].
