Zhong Hu of Cai (蔡仲胡) (?–?), born as Ji Hu (姬胡), was the second ruler of the State of Cai. He was the only known son of Shu Du of Cai (蔡叔度), who was exiled in after the Rebellion of the Three Guards (三監之亂). After being known to be an honest and kind-hearted man, he sent by the Duke of Zhou to the State of Lu as an ambassador. Proven to be a great ruler, King Cheng of Zhou, under the advise of the Duke of Zhou, rewarded him with the Fief of Cai, and his father's lost title. He made Shàngcài (上蔡), Zhùmǎdiàn, Hénán, his capital. He was succeeded by his son. Cai Zhong means the Elder of Cai.
