Taxonomy
Cynarctoides emryi was named by Xiaoming Wang et al. (1999). It was discovered at the Hemingford Quarry 7B site, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Runningwater Formation.
Morphology
Body mass
Two specimens were examined by Legendre and Roth for body mass.[1]
- Specimen 1 was estimated to weigh 1.29 kg (2.8 lb).
- Specimen 2 was estimated to weigh 1.36 kg (3.0 lb).
