Cucurbitin is an amino acid and a carboxypyrrolidine that can eliminate parasitic worms.^{[citation needed]} It is found in Cucurbita seeds.^[1]^[2] In 1992, a patent was filed to use the (-)-enantiomer in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.^[3]
