The albums discography of Crystal Gayle, an American country artist, consists of twenty two studio albums, eleven compilation albums, and three video albums. After a series of unsuccessful series of singles in the early 1970s, Crystal Gayle signed with United Artists Records in 1974 and released her self-titled debut studio album[1] the following year, which peaked at #25 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. With her next two releases, Somebody Loves You (1975) and Crystal (1976), her popularity began to steadily increase. Her major breakthrough came in 1977 with We Must Believe in Magic, which reached #2 on the Top Country Albums chart, #12 on the Billboard 200, and #15 on the UK Albums Chart.[2] In addition, the release became the first studio album by a female country artist to certify platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America.[1] Her follow-up release When I Dream (1978) also went platinum and was followed by a final studio album on United Artists in 1979. Upon her departure, the label would release a series of compilations, including Classic Crystal (1979), which certified gold in the United States.[3]

In 1979 Gayle switched to Columbia Records and released her debut album on the label, Miss the Mississippi the same year. The album and its follow-up record These Days (1980) certified gold in the United States.[3] While continuing her recording career, she also released recorded the soundtrack for the Francis Ford Coppola film One from the Heart (1982) with Tom Waits.[4] After releasing two more studio albums and a greatest hits album, Gayle moved to Warner Bros. Records in 1983. Her first album on the label was released the same year entitled Cage the Songbird, which reached #5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #171 on the Billboard 200.[2] Gayle continued releasing successful albums on the label for the remainder of the decade, including Nobody Wants to Be Alone (1985), What If We Fall in Love (1985), and Straight to the Heart (1986). In 1990 she reunited with her first producer Allen Reynolds on her next release Ain't Gonna Worry, as well as Three Good Reasons (1992).[1] During the 1990s, Gayle also released a covers album, a gospel album, and a standards album.[5] In 2000 she released her first children's album on Madacy Entertainment entitled In My Arms, which was followed by a second standards album in 2003.[1][5]
