Contents

Overview

Launched in November 2008 [1] by the Chelsea Magazine Company [2], and owned by Paul Dobson, the magazine is published six times a year, with distribution around the UK for magazine retailers, travel agents and ports.

Every issue combines photographs of exotic destinations and ports, useful information about life on board, expert advice on which ship to choose and the best time to travel.

The magazine is edited by Adam Coulter, who joined the magazine in June 2010,[3] having previously worked as Travel Consultant for The Spectator, was Business Travel Journalist of the Year in 2005, and regularly comments on travel industry issues.[4]

The magazine's website [5] was relaunched in September 2010.[6] [7]

The website, published by Luke Bilton, incorporates social media interaction into its usual mix of travel news, features and tips and ideas on where to cruise.

Cruise International Awards

In 2011 Cruise International launched the Cruise International Awards[8]. They are Britain's the first ever consumer awards dedicated to celebrating every aspect of the cruise industry, run in association with the Travel Channel, the Passenger Shipping Association, and The Spectator . The Awards were announced by the Daily Mirror [9] and industry body Discover Cruises [10]
