Criticism of government

Criticism of government may refer to criticism of particular government, or of the concept of government itself. In certain cases, such as in certain monarchies and authoritarian governments, criticizing the government is considered criminal speech and is punished in accord which the perceived severity of the claimed crime.

  • Anarchism - according to one definition, is the concept that all government is bad, and people would do better with no government.
  • Criticism of royalty - this includes criticism of the monarchy, and royals
  • Criticism of democracy - criticism of democracy comes from various points of view, including monarchical, authoritarian, and totalitarian points of view.
