Crank Storyboard Suite is an Eclipse-based graphical user interface builder called Storyboard Designer and a target runtime called Storyboard Engine.

History and development

Crank Software was begun in 2007. The first version of Storyboard Suite was released in November of 2009. This version contains an Eclipse based User Interface development tool and a runtime engine for the target system.

Platforms

Storyboard Engine is released for the following platforms

• Linux/fbdev – Storyboard Engine for Linux using the framebuffer device for rendering
• Linux/SDL – Storyboard Engine for Linux using SDL for rendering
• Linux/DirectFB – Storyboard Engine for Linux using DirectFB for rendering
• Linux/OpenVG 1.x – Storyboard Engine for Linux using OpenVG for rendering, this is based on the Beagleboard reference design
• QNX/AGTDK – Storyboard Engine for QNX using the advanced graphics TDK for rendering
• QNX/SDL – Storyboard Engine for Linux using SDL for rendering
• WindowsCE – Storyboard Engine for Windows CE using GDI for rendering

Storyboard Engine supports the following architectures
