Personal life
He is from Columbia, South Carolina, whose parents are Lawrence and Betty Melvin,[6] and is a graduate of Wofford College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government.[7][8][9]
He is married to ESPN Sports Anchor and former WRC-TV Sports Reporter Lindsay Czarniak as of October 15, 2011.[10]
Professional
Melvin got his first job in 2001 as a journalist in the position of a reporter and anchor for WIS in South Carolina that he won an Emmy Award while at the station.[11] Melvin joined WRC-TV in 2008 and worked for them until his departure in 2011, which he anchored the Weekend 6PM and 11PM newscasts. Upon leaving WRC-TV, Melvin took a job as an Achor at MSNBC.
