History
Larry Marshall and Mike Patranella developed the concept for the Cotton Patch Café chain in 1989. Their original location is still in operation in Nacogdoches, Texas. Larry and Mike envisioned an inviting restaurant that focused on a simple core goal – serve delicious meals made from the finest produce and the highest-quality meats and seafood. They strive to over deliver on taste – providing a “value” you can taste in every meal.
The atmosphere in a Cotton Patch Café is laid-back, genuine and unpretentious. You won’t find flashy signs or a wait staff with “flair” buttons on their uniforms. You will find meals cooked to order, generous portions and friendly smiles. It is a place where families and friends can gather and be treated to a wide selection of delicious menu items.
Menu
To help promote the numerous grilled items on their menu, the company adopted the marketing tag line of “The Grill Next Door”. This has amply paid off with items like Cajun Grilled Catfish, rib eye steaks, chicken breast and center cut grilled pork chops to mention just a few. But Cotton Patch Café is also popular for their enormous chicken fried steaks, “One-Fork” pot roast and Texas Meatloaf. For those looking for something a bit lighter, the menu has more than a half-dozen salad selections. All the menu items are affordably priced.
