(Bloch, 1779)Coregonus maraena, also called the maraene, is a species of freshwater whitefish in the family Salmonidae. It occurs in Poland, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and Russia. The maximum length recorded for this species is 130 centimetres (51 in). It is frequently considered to be a subspecies of Coregonus lavaretus.
