Convention against Discrimination in Education

Convention against Discrimination in Education is a convention adopted by UNESCO in 1960 aiming to combat segregation and discrimination in the field of education. It has entered into force in 1962. There is an additional Protocol Instituting a Conciliation and Good offices Commission, adopted in 1962 and entering force in 1968. As of July, 2011, Convention has 97 member states (counting China relating to Macao only), Protocol — 34 (counting pre-unification Vietnam; post-unification Vietnam has not expressed a position on whether it succeeds pre-unification Vietnam as member of protocol).[1]
