Jump River is an unincorporated community in the northwestern part of the Town of Jump River, in northern Taylor County, Wisconsin.

The community is located on the north bank of the Jump River, from which the town takes its name. Before being renamed after the river, the community was called Broederville [ [http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/dictionary/index.asp?action=view&term_id=3581& Jump River: Origin of Place Name] ]
