Colony Cirque

Colony Cirque

Colony Cirque (77°33′S 163°18′E / 77.55°S 163.3°E / -77.55; 163.3) is a cirque in Antarctica, immediately east of Mount Knox in the MacDonald Hills, Asgard Range, Victoria Land. It was named by the New Zealand Geographic Board (1998) after "colony", a form of government. The name complements the adjacent Commonwealth Glacier, named earlier by Captain R. F. Scott after the Commonwealth of Australia.
