Season 6Season five of Cold Case, an American television series, began airing on September 23, 2007 and concluded on May 4, 2008. Season five regular cast members include Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford and Tracie Thoms. This season was originally scheduled to air 24 episodes, but due to the Writer's Strike only 18 episodes were produced and aired.

- Lilly has flashbacks from the shooting of Ed Marteson.
- Lilly sees the three victims riding their bikes past the house and one of them stops to thank her.
- The father of Jack (one of the victims) was the actual murderer. He taped the boys eyes shut to torture them as HE was afraid of the dark. In anger, he kills them with his flashlight.
- Both the mother and friend of the wrongfully accused man who committed suicide see him as the friend is released from prison.
- Based loosely on the West Memphis 3.
- All the music featured in this episode is performed by Nirvana.

95 2 "That Woman" Roxann Dawson Liz W. Garcia September 30, 2007 13.70[2] After a piece of clothing belonging to a murder victim is found in an old van, the team reopens the 1998 murder of a high school girl who had a reputation for being promiscuous.
- Lilly sees the victim walking through the woods where she was murdered.
- The murderers were the other members of the 'chastity group' at the high school.

96 3 "Running Around" Holly Dale Jennifer M. Johnson October 7, 2007 13.02[3] When the younger sister of a missing person comes to the police for help, the team reopens the 2006 case of an Amish girl who was murdered while she was in Philadelphia experiencing the Amish rite of passage called "rumspringa".
- The victim's sister sees her on the road as she leaves for her own rumspringa.
- The murderer was Jakob. Anna wanted to stay in the "English" society while he wanted to return and he knew she could have helped him return.
- Song featured in the intro: "Unwritten", by Natasha Bedingfield.
- Song featured in the finale: "Breakaway", by Kelly Clarkson.
97 4 "Devil Music" Chris Fisher Kate Purdy October 14, 2007 13.88[4] The team reinvestigates the 1953 case of a talented 19-year-old rock'n'roll singer when new evidence comes forth suggesting he wasn't killed in the place where his body was found.
- The victim's friend sees him performing on stage at his club.
- The killer is the victims cousin, J.P., who didn't like the 'rock and roll' style music that Bingo was playing.
- Song featured in the finale: "Can't Help Falling in Love", by Elvis Presley.
98 5 "Thick As Thieves" Holly Dale Christopher Silber October 21, 2007 11.69[5] The team reopens the unsolved 1989 case of an unidentified Jane Doe when she dies in the hospital after being comatose since the day she was shot 18 years ago, only to encounter a long list of suspects when they learn that the woman was a professional con artist who had swindled dozens of people.
- Lilly sees the victim in the evidence room.
- Kiley, the nurse who was involved with Margot's son (not husband as claimed!) was the shooter. Kiley and Spencer planned to double cross her, but Spencer couldn't kill his mom, so Kiley attemped to do it.

99 6 "Wunderkind" Kevin Bray Greg Plageman October 28, 2007 11.78[6] When a small-time crook is caught using the Social Security Number of a dead teenager, the team reopens the 2002 murder of the 14-year-old math phenom.
- Jeffries sees the victim watching the flight of the birds.
- Terrence's half brother, Michael, killed him out of jealousy from the attention from their father.

100 7 "World's End" Roxann Dawson Gavin Harris November 4, 2007 13.89[7] When human remains are discovered in the bottom of a well, the team opens the 1938 case of a housewife who went missing the night of Orson Welles' radio broadcast of War of the Worlds.
- Lilly sees the victim and her lover dancing.
- Felton, Audrey's husband, killed her in jealousy over Will, the man at the dance hall.
- Song featured in the finale: "Always", by Frank Sinatra.
101 8 "It Takes a Village" Kevin Bray Erica Shelton November 11, 2007 12.78[8] When the body of a newly missing boy is found in a cargo container, the remains of three other victims who vanished from 1999 to 2003 are found, and the team realizes they're dealing with a serial killer.
- Kat Miller sees the first three victims in the station.
- The killer commits suicide.
- A recent missing boy named Tyrel is released by the killer and reunited with his mother.
- The main victim's grandmother sees him on her front porch.
- Song featured in the finale: "You're Gonna Make It", by KJ-52 feat. Blanca Reyes.
102 9 "Boy Crazy" Holly Dale Joanna Lovinger November 18, 2007 14.12[9] The team reopens the 1963 case of teenage girl who was thought to have committed suicide when new evidence leads them to believe the girl might have been murdered for acting and dressing like a boy.
- Sam, the victim, was killed by her friend and love interest, Red. He saw what had been done to her in the institution and realized his true friend was never coming back (due to the shock therapy used on her), so he smothered her.
- The victim's friend (and murderer) sees her and they exchange a smile of understanding

103 10 "Justice" Agnieszka Holland Veena Cabreros Sud November 25, 2007 12.98[10] The team reopens the 1982 case of a popular college valedictorian who was shot on the day of his graduation when they discover the accusations of rape made against him by several female students shortly before his death.
- Det. Vera gives the victim a disgusted look in the case room.
- No one is arrested because the case is ruled self-defense and justifiable homicide.
- Tessie's younger brother was the shooter, due to watching his sister being raped and seeing how no one was willing to help her, or the other rape victims.
- Song featured in the intro: "Space Age Love Song", by A Flock of Seagulls.
- Song featured in the finale: "Save a Prayer", by Duran Duran.
104 11 "Family 8108" Jeannot Szwarc Kellye Garrett & Elizabeth Randall December 9, 2007 11.57[11] The team reopens the 1945 case of a Japanese-American man killed outside an Army-Navy football game when it was revealed that the original investigation may have been in the wrong place.
- Lilly sees the murdered father and his son, who served and died in the 442nd Battalion in World War II, looking at their family.
- Billy was killed in battle during WW2. Billy's father, Ray, was killed by Skip, Billy's commanding officer after Ray asked for an honor medal for his son.
- There is no music; instead, an original monologue accompanies the scene.
105 12 "Sabotage" Nicole Kassell Greg Plageman January 6, 2008 10.96[12] The team searches for a serial bomber whose latest pipe bomb maimed the wrong target and whose three previous bombings, in 1999, 2001 and 2003, collectively blinded a man and killed two others.
- The murderer sees the victims as he is arrested.

106 13 "Spiders" John Peters Liz W. Garcia February 17, 2008 9.57[13] The team reopens the 1998 case of a murdered 17-year-old girl when her father is arrested for beating another child. During the investigation, the team finds evidence that the victim was involved with a group of neo-nazis who were suspected of another unsolved murder around the same time.
- Lilly sees the victim sitting on the stairwell in the case room.
- The other victim is seen by Lt. Stillman as her body is uncovered.
- Song featured in the intro: "Someday", by Sugar Ray.

107 14 "Andy in C Minor" Jeannot Szwarc Gavin Harris March 30, 2008 9.80[14] After traces of blood linked back to a missing teen are found, the team re-investigates the 2006 case of a boy who went missing from a high school for the deaf.
- The victim is seen by both Lilly and the victim's girlfriend, who signs "I love you" to him.
- Carlos, the best friend of the victim, killed him. Carlos didn't want Andy to leave him and be left alone.
- Song featured in the opening scene: "SOS", by Rihanna.

108 15 "The Road" Holly Dale Jennifer M. Johnson April 6, 2008 11.93[15] Lilly and Scotty travel to West Virginia to escort a suspected murderer, who is believed to have abducted a woman from her 2007 engagement party and then killed her, back to Philadelphia.
- The main victim is found alive and is reunited with her fiancé.
- Det. Kat Miller sees the three other victims and the blonde one smiles as she reviews their footage.
- A fifth victim is seen by her baby daughter on the television screen in a home movie.
- Song featured in the finale: "Come Home", by OneRepublic.
109 16 "Bad Reputation" Alex Zakrzewski Christopher Silber April 13, 2008 9.43[16] The 1997 murder of an ex-con who had just been released from prison is reinvestigated when the victim's severed hand is discovered during a drug bust.
- The victim's son sees him while he reads his father's letters.
- Pete, the victim, was killed by Officer Daniel O'Leary (he was a dirty cop).
- Song featured in the intro: "Santa Monica", by Everclear.
- Song featured in the finale: "Recovering the Satellites", by Counting Crows.
110 17 "Slipping" Kevin Bray Erica Shelton April 27, 2008 11.61[17] The team reopens the case of a woman who allegedly committed suicide in 1962 when it is revealed that her suicide note was not written in her handwriting. It deals with how madness was considered and treated in the 1960s, and includes issues such as social segregation and pressure at work.
- Scotty sees the victim in the case room

- Song featured in the finale: "End of the World", by Brenda Lee.
111 18 "Ghost of My Child" Roxann Dawson Liz W. Garcia May 4, 2008 11.56[18] A drug addict whose son was killed in an apartment fire in 2005 comes forth claiming she just saw her child in the park.
- The presumed victim is found alive (this is the second time that has happened in the series).
- Those who started the fire are arrested.
- The child is reunited with his mother.
- Song featured in the intro: "Better Days", by Goo Goo Dolls.
- Song featured in the finale: "Far Away", by Nickelback.
- This episode was loosely based on the Delimar Vera case, who was abducted in December 1997 by a relative of the father during an apartment party fire and found by her mother in January 2003 at another relative's party.
