The Country Club was the site of the historic Agua Caliente Open and Tijuana Open Invitational, former golf tournaments on the PGA Tour.[1] The championship level golf course is located in the Rio Zone of the city and is termed an oasis in the city, for its location in the metropolis that is Tijuana.

History
The golf course was originally design in 1927 by William P. Bell,[2] and in 1932 the course was redesigned by Alister MacKenzie.[3] The site of the Agua Caliente Open, the course hosted professional golf players including Gene Sarazen, Paul Runyan, E. J. Harrison, and Ernie Vossler.
In the contemporary era the Tijuana Country Club has become a popular golf course for California golfers, to where members of the country club include San Diegans.[4][5]
