Performance
When configured with a Intel i7 980X/990X and NVIDIA SLI or AMD Crossfire GPUs, no other contemporary laptop can match the performance or benchmark results of the x7200. In fact, the x7200 rivals performance of desktop systems.[5] These traits make the x7200 an attractive choice for gamers and LAN parties, software developers, and video editors.[6]
System highlights
- Intel Core i7 CPU (including the i7-980X and i7-990X. This differs from mobile CPUs usually found in laptops.
- 3 to 4 internal drive bays allow for a greater number of SSD or HDD devices which provides a larger amount of disk storage than a traditional laptop.
- Dual video cards. The Clevo x7200 can be configured with nVidia SLI or ATI CrossFire technology which allows for high end graphics not normally found in a laptop.

Known issues
Soon after its release, it was reported[by whom?] certain x7200/NP7280 configurations under heavy use would cause the power supply unit (PSU) to cut out, switching the power to the laptop's battery.[citation needed] In order to prevent the problem, Clevo developed a power connecting bridge so two PSUs could be used in tandem to provide the necessary power to the system, thus preventing the PSU from a fault.[citation needed]
