History

Freedom USA, Inc. was founded in 1998 at the peak of the dot-com bubble. The company originally specialized in building computers and selling them at trade shows. But in 2001 the company changed its business model from “retail” to “mail-order” through the emergence of e-commerce solutions.

The website is designed to provide customers with the ability to select their own configurations by offering a wide variety of components and accessories, purchased directly from the actual manufacturing companies or through distribution channels.

Competitors

In the gaming PC market, the company competes with well-known boutique computer builders such as Alienware, ABS Computers, Puget Custom Computers, and Velocity Micro.
