It is located at 2616 Nixon Road on the northeast side of Ann Arbor, located around the Maplewood and Bromley neighborhoods. The school serves grades 6-8, with its principal being Ms. Cynthia Leaman. It is one of five main middle schools in Ann Arbor with King, Logan, Northside, and Thurston elementary schools sending their students to it after graduation. Clague middle school students are split apart based on the side of Nixon Road on which they live — the students living west of Nixon attend Skyline High School and the students living east of Nixon attend Huron High School. The school's mascot is the cougar, and its school colors are blue and green.
